About the Founder

Christopher A. HintoN, mba

Looking to give back, Christopher Hinton looked for many ways to impact future generations. He, along with his family, founded the Hinton Foundation to engage the community, advocate for students, and empower the next generation. After the completion of his undergraduate career at Appalachian State University, Hinton returned to Winston-Salem with the goal to continue to grow the foundation. His degrees in both Business Management and General Marketing have helped him understand the plight of students like him in related fields and the growing need for more diversity in the professional realm. Throughout his tenure at Appalachian, he has served in various capacities throughout campus that ultimately demonstrated to him the importance of impacting and sustaining one's community. Hinton quotes, "If we are to be ready to conquer tomorrow, we must prepare today. And to prepare, we must invest in the ones who will lead us into the next century."
